At What Cost and When??

Seviercorruption.com has been following reports of how much it can cost an innocent but accused person, to acquire his freedom in attempt to prepare his defense.  As most folks who have encountered our "unique" justice system, you are aware that in Sevier county courts you are guilty until you prove yourself innocent or take a "deal" to end the madness.  Seviercorruption.com has heard many stories about how some folks (like the Sheriff's son) can be walked out the back door with no money down.  Just like a car lot.  On the other hand, it seems some folks get hit with astronomical bonds on minor charges.  Many of the people are on General Sessions Court's own private probation scam (thanks Dewight, and how do you get paid to preach) and may have been five minutes late to a probation meeting or faced with the option of feeding their children or paying the ridiculous fees our fine judges think indigent citizens should pay to stay out of jail.  In other instances it seems that the system just wants some people to stay in jail no matter what, so the bonds are set according to how much money they don't have.  One magistrate who writes some warrants that request no bond be set has a habit of telling the accused that this is "his county".  Magistrate Craig  (roll me one or you'll never get out) McCarter seems to think that just because he is Mayor Lyin Larry's bother-in-law that he can help Lyin Larry claim ownership of Sevier county.  "Head" Magistrate and slave to the General Sessions Judges Albert "smooth hands too" Snyder is evidently the source of the extraordinarily high bonds and Seviercorruption would like to see how ole Albert comes up with these amounts.  Do the other counties want to keep their jails overcrowded by setting bonds above a person's abilities just because they can?  Or maybe it's the fact that Soft Hands Albert does favors for some people (or cops, or just every day homies) by abusing his powers that the Private Probation Judges give him.  Either way, we at Seviercorruption.com see corruption at it's finest in this area.

We even hear from a former community probation officer, with initials DE, has even had persons in General Sessions admit that bonds are set illegally through a certain Bonding Company.

Another part of this story deals with some of the accused that have mysteriously fallen through the cracks of the system.  One would think that after making one of these bonds to a bonding company, the judicial system would be diligent in bringing the criminals to justice.  Or at least get them on good ole private probation.  But in some cases we are hearing that some of these outlaws have skipped out on their bail bondsmen, but the bonds have not been revoked nor have the companies been forced to pay the courts.  Worse yet, the accused are never called into court.  Now we at Seviercorruption.com know that some attorneys keep postponing appearances into court in able to bleed their clients for more fees, but how they disappear off the docket is entirely another story.  We have even heard about some "skippers" being lost for nearly a decade with no problems.  Now, if you are a bonding company being faced with the possibility of paying off on a $100,000.00 bond, what options would you have to get out of this?  That's just what we are wondering?  Who would possibly have the abilities or connections to help these businesses from losing thousands?  Would this not be illegal?  Is there no one in the General Sessions office who can keep employees from stealing thousands and also keep up with who has not been before the judge this millennium?  What about the District Attorney's office?  Do they not have a list of alleged criminals to prosecute?  Maybe Sheriff Hossie and his crack Head Detective Jeff McCarter should get some of their fine defectives out of recording certain men at the county commission meetings and do a full investigation on this issue.  Maybe this could be something Lil Matty Chubberly could "handle".  We bet the department's Don Juan with a patch of scrowdumb on his head could sweet talk some of the women into the courthouse into letting him know what is going on, then get his little kickback for keeping it off the docket.   Or if Matty strikes out, maybe Jimmy Dumb Dunn could get his infamous task force led by Max Smith to arrest everyone in the county until they get the right ones.

Seviercorruption.com has been swamped with stories about how our county's private probation has been the vehicle in which our General Sessions Judges have come to own the less fortunate folks of Sevier who can't afford to hire a competent attorney from another county. You can sit in on the hearings in General Sessions and see how many people end up on the never-ending money merry-go-round of private probation created by some of the fine folks of the First Baptist Church.

Seviercorruption.com is working on a complete, no-holds-barred story to expose some of the robberies made by our legal system by targeting the people who "take the deals". One of our top contributors recently was able to talk to a know-all, former Man of the Robe about private probation. When asked his opinion about the program, he immediately called it a "racket". When asked who he thought was benefiting the most from the legal robbery of this system, his reply was "that's easy, it's Dwight". This was very shocking as we have known him to be the Judge who preaches "sacrificing self for others". Today, September 22, 2008, Cocke county Judge John Bell is face a hearing before the Court of the Judiciary regarding his connection with his brother-in-law's private probation company as well as being part of a TBI and Tennessee Attorney General's investigation surrounding abuse of Judicial Powers. Some Judges know how stressful an investigation by the Office of theCourt's can be, and have no problem fabricating stories for their behavior to make the panel of 10 judges, 3 attorneys, and 3 lay people go back to Middle Tennessee. We at Seviercorruption.com sure hope Judge Bell doesn't try to convince the panel that Dan Metcalf, the original complainant is a "radical wacko" and there is no substance to the complaint. Strangely enough Metcalf was in the bonding business. What's up with that? Seviercorruption.com wonders if Bell has a wife named Norma too who is a Judge that can help him out of his mess. Maybe the findings on this hearing will determine the Judge's guilt and we will see some other judges sweat like they did when news of Roane county's own Judge Thomas Austin's dis-robing hit the "Judge's grapevine".

As early reports from the hearing this afternoon come in, we understand that the hearing is about how the Judge used his power to try and humiliate and intimidate people. Our very own Rexxie Zorrogle would never do that! Would you Rexy?  You wouldn't try to do anything like drag someone into your chambers and have them rocorded by a Court Reporter.  Naw, not nothing like that.  But maybe Rexy would do what we hear is aimed at making sure to take control of the Grand Jury for another session. Keeping the same person as foreman who served last session. How much is Lyle getting paid or is he just Crazy too. How many of you liked Jury Duty so much that you decided to stay on for an extra term? And then when you did, somehow you got to remain as Foreman!!! Imagine that? Only in Sevier County, Tennessee where Good Low Boys protect each other at any cost! We really thought better of you Lyle, but then again we are not surprised either.  Now, are you a Mason too?  We bet you are and falling right into line!

Seviercorruption.com got the text below in an email.  It is reportedly written by Commissioner Brian Delius.  Brian and his conduct has been mentioned here on Seviercorruption.com.  We will report the facts as we see them.  After all, Lying Larry just got re-apointed as Chairman of the County Commission and he admits he follows the Law as he knows it.  How bout it Brian, your a big attorney.  Is Lying Larry following the law as it is intended?  How bout the County Commission?   And you cry fairness....................

Below is your email Brian.  If you really mean what you say, why not get Lying Larry to repent from his conduct, get Cuz Jerry to re-visit the ethics complaints that have been filed, or otherwise turn over the complaints to compentant law enforcement.  And were you not there with the Sheriff assualted Brad Lowe?  Why is that not being addressed?  And you spew fairness in your plea?

Is you letter just more bullshit?  Are you for real?  Actions, not words Brian!   Actions!  We see what actions are not being taken.  How about preventing persons from appearing before the Grand Jury?  Fairness?  Where?

Brians Letter;

I'd like to address concerns about the environment of government in Sevier County. When I campaigned for a seat on the County Commission, I did so to help Sevier County continue to be a wonderful place to live and raise a family. During my campaign, the candidates were all invited to speak at a forum. One of the candidates in another district said his motivation for running and the reason that he would be a good candidate was because he wasn't from here and didn't owe anything to anyone here. When I was asked why I wanted to seek an office here, my response was just the opposite. I ran for County Commission because I am indebted to a lot of people in Sevier County. First and foremost I had two wonderful, Godly parents who raised me with a sense of values that hopefully I can pass on to my daughter. Additionally I owe great friends I have had since childhood, such as teachers, educators, church leaders and others who encouraged, led and educated me as a young man. The first thing I saw upon entering politics were individuals who had the same desire to see Sevier County improve and continue to be a wonderful place. This appeared to be the goal of everyone seeking office and holding office. Shortly after becoming a county commissioner it was obvious I disagreed with others over policy and priorities. These disagreements were strictly issue driven. Nothing that I observed caused me to question the character and integrity of those I serve with. Since I have been on the County Commission I haven't always had my way. Priorities of other commissioners have differed from mine. However, I cannot ascribe to those disagreements evil moti vations from the other side. In writing this I hope to be a voice of reason. The tenor of public commentary in Sevier County has degraded and must be addressed. I If particular citizens have a disagreement with leaders in government, I encourage them to express their concern. Never concede a strong conviction. Don't violate your conscience. If you feel a law has been broken, pursue that. Seek a redress of any wrong that you feel is being done. Just please don't lose sight of what should be the goal of everyone in the public sector: Improve the community, not win at all costs or defame or slander the character of fine individuals that I serve with. I have come to observe an unexpected pattern of character assassination. I encourage everyone to participate in their government by first educating themselves about our challenges. Once you feel you have a strong understanding of what the needs and obstacles are that face the county with its budgetary constraints, choose the course you want the county to take and communicate it to your commissioners. Advocate for your position, but don't undermine individuals just for the purpose of gaining advantage. Hopefully we can all agree that we should provide the best education possible for the children, the safest environment possible for everyone and opportunities for the future. As we approach a presidential election, I have been refreshed when I have seen the candidates express admiration for each other even though they adamantly disagree with the positions held by the other. They don't question the sincerity of the other's service or their motivation for holding this high office. In my professional endeavors, if for every adverse ruling from the courts I ascribed some improper motivation against me or my clients, thus questioning their integrity, this would not only be harmful to my clients and practice, but would be absolutely absurd. I simply refuse to ascribe evil to every act of individuals who take a position opposite mine. I will continue to be an advocate and voice for the people. I will pursue an open, transparent government here where everyone has a voice. However my expectation is for others' voices to remain civil. I will stand with individuals when they are right and oppose them when I think they are in error. Regardless, I will never compromise my integrity, violate my conscience or seek to commit character assassination to gain political or personal victories. Every citizen has the right and duty to question the actions of government. But fairness demands civility and respect for all. ? Brian, why do you want citizens to come speak?  So Lying Larry can have one of his goons call for the adjournment of the meeting?  Don't forget, respect is earned and the County Government has lost respect because you have a Mayor that follows the Law as only he knows it. His own words, Brian.   And you sit there while the majority of the Commission has been hand picked by Lying Larry and hold jobs with the County.  Brian, are you just giving us lip service?  We heard that political bullshit before, now show us with actions.  Us backing down ain't happening until we see real change.  Or go ahead and see what a good license Cuz Jerry gave us.

We are glad however that you do see you serve with some evil persons on County Commission.  Its breath taking to hear any one of you admit that fact!  But you did.

Seviercorruption.com agrees with you Brian, but does fairness not call for evenhanded enforcement of the Law Brian?  Yes!  And why then did Hoss not answer for his foolish attack on Brad Lowe.  You can talk the talk Brian, but will you walk the walk?  If anyone had aproached Hoss like he did Brad and slap the fat Homo, they would have been charged, don't you think?

Fairness?  We are waiting to see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lying Larry threatens Citizens

Its not who, but how many heard Lying Larry show his true colors last night before the meeting.  As Lying Larry entered the room he was white as a sheet.  He had just bumped into someone that he did not expect to see.  But he did not know for sure that the conversation he just had with several County Commissioners was over heard.  Now he does.  That discussion has been reviewed and it is quite telling about the real intentions of Lying Larry.  He does not intend to follow the law and according to what we have now heard intends to deceive everyone he can with his little tear jerking performances.  Poor Lying Larry.

As Lying Larry and his loyal, bought and paid for County Commissioner called Citizens names and laughed out loud, they insulted those people who desire to have an honest government.  Claiming to know how much money the group has spent on Attorney Fees, Lying Larry pretended to have inside information on the groups activities.  Wonder how?

Pretending again, Lying Larry spewed out what he wished to be the case as he tried to tell those County Commissioners present that the Open Meeting Laws have not been violated.  Huh, wonder if any of them remember that all Commission Meetings of late have been taped and Phido Phil admitted on tape that the Sunshine Law was violated.  But Good Low Phido didn't stop that night.  Lying Larry must be taking our advise and boycoted the Mountain Press.  Just a few days ago, Good Low Phido in Dumb ole Boy fashion was reported in the Mountain Press regarding district seating;

Although Lying Larry got Cuz Jerry to speak to the contrary, in the conversation before the meeting Lying Larry indicated that the County Insurance would pay for the cost borne by the County associated with the legal action recently brought.  But Lying Larry told those present that he would continue to put the "spin" out that the County would pay those cost.  What a Liar you really are Larry.  But you been doing it so long that you must believe yourself!

Larry is also overheard saying that those he believes to be involved will pay on September 29th.  Whats up with that Lying Larry.  We would ask if you would consider abuse of your office, but we already know that answer.

In closing, the pubic needs to know exactly how dumb Lying Larry and the boys really are, but we may never know just how dumb that really is, no-one may ever know.
